Ralph E. "Jack" Lynn, 78

Ralph E. “Jack” Lynn, 78, of 107 Dey Street Danville PA died Saturday evening, January 6, 2007 at his home.  He was born July 3, 1928 in Riverside PA the son of the late Christopher and Martha Cain Lynn, Sr. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1946.  Mr. Lynn served as a seaman with the United States Navy on the USS Providence.  He was a very active member of St. James United Church of Christ (Ridgeville) Danville PA where he served faithfully on many boards throughout the years.

He was employed by Merck and Company Riverside PA as an electrical supervisor for 28 years retiring in 1987.  Mr. Lynn was a member of the Elks and the Washies Fire Company; both of Danville PA.  He was also a member of the Train Collectors Association.  He enjoyed the hobby of woodworking and had also enjoyed fishing and hunting in earlier years.  Mr. Lynn was an avid supporter of Danville athletics.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Gretta Fullmer Lynn whom he married September 2, 1950.  He is also survived by two daughters; Marsha L Graham of Danville PA and Bonnie L Radic and her husband Vince, Jr. of Harrisburg PA. Also surviving are four granddaughters; Elizabeth Graham McDonough and Meredith Graham of Danville PA and Hilary and Hannah Radic of Harrisburg PA. 

Also surviving are three sisters; Esther Cotner of Washingtonville PA; Edith Heimbach Bloomsburg PA and Leona Bower of Milton PA.  He was preceded in death by six brothers; Walter, Harry, Woodrow, Christopher, Jr., Thomas and Robert Lynn and four sisters; Loretta Hendricks, Annabelle Strausser and two in infancy. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 1:00 PM from St. James United Church of Christ (Ridgeville) 2507 Bloom Road Danville PA with the Reverend Richard J. Shearer officiating.  Burial will follow in Elan Memorial Park 5595 Old Berwick Road Bloomsburg PA.  Military rites will be accorded by the Montour County Veterans Association.  Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society Montour Unit 1948 E 3rd Street Williamsport PA 17701-3945.
