Frank S. Prutzman, 80, of
40 Bellas Hollow Road Danville PA, where he had resided since February 1962,
passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville
PA. He was born August 17, 1930 in Kingston PA the son of the late C. Ray
and Martha Marsden Prutzman.
He graduated from Lake
Lehman High School in 1948. Mr. Prutzman was a self-employed dairy farmer
from 1962 to 1989 at his present address. Prior to moving to this area, he
also farmed in Jackson Township in Luzerne County. He was employed by
Paper Magic in Danville PA for 20 years, retiring in April 2009. He was a
member of the Pennsylvania Farmerís Association. Mr. Prutzman served on
several Northumberland County Agricultural Boards including the
Northumberland Holstein Association. His enjoyments included fly fishing
and hunting. Mr. Prutzman was a member of First Baptist Church Danville PA
where he sang in the choir and served with the kitchen staff for Wednesday
evening suppers. In June of 2010, he received a 60 year award by the Osage
Lodge IOOF in Lehman Township Luzerne County PA.
He is survived by his
wife of 54 years, Loraine Keller Prutzman whom he married October 13, 1956.
Also surviving is one son, David M. Prutzman and his wife Rosemarie of
Danville PA and one daughter, Suzanne E. Knight of Ravenne Ohio. He is also
survived by five grandchildren; Christopher, Timothy and Nicholas Prutzman
and Micheala and Cheyenne Knight. He was preceded in death by one brother,
Relatives and friends are
invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00
PM at First Baptist Church 20 Brookside Drive Danville PA with the Reverend
Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating. Burial will be private in Huntsville
Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:30 PM until the time of service
at the church. The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may
be made to First Baptist Church Choir Fund. Arrangements are under the
direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
