Embry D. Ross, Jr., 73

Embry D. Ross, Jr., 73, of 865 North 5th Street Sunbury PA and formerly of Philadelphia PA passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at his residence.  He was born July 13, 1936 in Philadelphia PA the son of the late Embry D. and Mary Smith Ross, Sr. 

Mr. Ross served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He was employed as an operating engineer and a member of Local 542 Philadelphia for 40 years.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia C. Harmon.

He is survived by one son, Rodney C. Harmon and his wife Tami with whom he resided.  Also survived are one grandson, Michael and two granddaughters, Michelle and Joslynn and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Ross was an avid reader and loved Jazz.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. 

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
