G. Ross, 92, of Grandview Health Homes since 1999 and formerly of Allied
Kear Apartments and lifelong Danville area resident died Tuesday afternoon,
May 4, 2004 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville, PA. She was born January
29, 1912 in Danville, PA the daughter of the late John A. and C. Gertrude
graduated from Danville High School in 1929. She was a former member of
Pine Street Lutheran Church and a member of Sheep’s Bible Church Danville
PA. Mrs. Ross was employed at Geisinger Medical Center and Bloomsburg
Hospital as a licensed practical nurse retiring in 1972. Mrs. Ross was a
pianist and an organist who deeply loved music.
survived by two daughters; JoAnn Myers and husband Robert of Danville, PA
and Louise K. Blue of Bloomsburg, PA. She is also survived by eight
grandchildren; Cynthia Blue and husband Stephen Randall, Amy Blue, Wendy and
husband Kurt Gessner, Catherine Billhime and husband Eugene; Robert Myers,
Jr; David Myers, Sherry Myers Simon and Ellen Shirley and husband Terry and
one great-grandson Matthew Shirley. A sister, Helen M. Fausnaught of
Danville, PA also survives her. She was preceded in death by one brother
Donald Cashner and one sister Mary Sterling.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM from the
Miller-Visneski Funeral Home 10 West
Mahoning Street Danville, PA with the Reverend Kenneth Force officiating.
Burial will be private in the Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville, PA. Friends
will be received from 11:30 until the time of service.
