Betty J. Latchford, 78

Betty J. Latchford, 78, of 46 Ash Street Danville, PA died Monday afternoon, August 8, 2005 at the Guthrie Medical Center Sayre, PA.  She was born October 26, 1926, in Bloomsburg, PA the daughter of the late Paul and Pauline Millard Fornwald. 

On January 5, 1946, she married Harold L. “Whitey” Latchford, who preceded her in death August 26, 1992, after 46 years of marriage.

Mrs. Latchford was employed by W. T. Grant & Co., Danville, PA.  She was also employed by Ames, Bloomsburg, PA and GM Supply in Berwick, PA.  She enjoyed selling collectibles at various flea markets, especially at Pioneer Village I Bloomsburg, PA. 

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law H. Leonard and Barbara (Delsite) Latchford of Gillett; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and John Brown, Jr. of Danville, PA; six grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew and Monica Latchford, Stephen and Kelly Latchford, Rebecca Aseline, Patrick and Bonnie Latchford,  Matthew and Sarah Latchford and Adam Latchford; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Fornwald of Bloomsburg, PA and one sister, Jessie Drumheller of Catawissa, PA.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; Myron, Paul and Dale Fornwald and three sisters; Phyllis Hutton, Hazel Makarovich and Dawn Fornwald.

Visitors may call from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday evening and from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday at the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville, PA.  The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Reverend Dennis W. Derr Trinity United Methodist Church Danville, PA officiating.  Burial will follow in Elan Memorial Park Old Berwick Road Bloomsburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the No-Kill Shelter for Animals, 301 A Bloom Road Bloomsburg, PA  17815.
