Wendy Lou Hendrickson, 58, of Danville PA
passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in
Danville PA. She was born February 5, 1963 in Danville the daughter of Mary
Raup of Danville PA the late Ronald Raup.
She graduated from Danville High School.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years,
Russell L. Hendrickson, Jr. They were married September 16, 1995.
Wendy was employed as a patient advocate for
Hope Enterprises in Danville PA from January of 2011 until the time of her
passing.
Wendy will be remembered and greatly missed as
a very selfless person, always putting others needs before herself. She
loved to cook up “storms” for her family. She was well known for traveling
around town on her golfcart and her “jazzie” providing many with her sweet,
caring and thoughtful presence. She was a dedicated wife, mother and took
great pride especially in her role as “Gamol”. Wendy was a light that
shined so bright and will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her husband and her mother, she
is survived by one son, Kyle James Hendrickson and his wife Amber and their
children: Kolden, 11 and Blaine, 5; all of Catawissa. Also surviving are
two stepsons their families.
She is also survived by two brothers, Tim Raup
and Butch Raup, one sister, Margaret Harner and all of their families, as
well as her sister-in-law Mary Ann Toomey and brother-in-law Robert
Hendrickson and their families. She will be dearly missed by many other
family members and friends.
A Celebration of Wendy’s Life will be held on
Friday, March 26, 2021 from 12:00PM- 5:00PM at 946 East Market Street,
Danville, PA and all are welcome to attend with drive-by participation
welcomed. The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions in
her honor may be made to the ALS Foundation for Life at
www.als.org.
