June A. Savage, 65, of Danville PA. passed
away unexpectedly on May 18, 2021 in Danville PA. She was born March 20,
1956 the daughter of the late William C. and Carol Bittenbender Savage.
She graduated from Danville Area Senior High
School in 1974. She also graduated from the Lehigh Valley Healing Arts
Center in September of 1996.
June held various positions at several
locations including Geisinger Medical Center, Textron in Danville PA until
its closing, and her last employment being at Riverwoods Senior Living
Community in Lewisburg PA. June practiced massage therapy through the early
2000’s at her home.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church
Danville PA and the International Massage Association.
June’s high school yearbook quote sums up her
mindset “I’m not in this world to live up to your expectations”. She
fashioned her life after her idol, Janis Joplin-“There’s a fire inside every
one of us---I better use it until the day I die.” June loved traveling to
Aruba annually. She also loved traveling with her cousin Nathaniel and
exploring many parts of the United States by car.
June was always generous, nonjudgmental, never
pretentious, kind to all living creatures and a friend to all.
She is survived by her cousins, Kelly S. Fox of
Danielsville PA and Nathaniel Holdren of Livingston Montana. She is also
survived by her lifetime friends, Dawn and Mur Johnson and her good friend
and neighbor, Barry Koser.
Services and burial will be private at the
convenience of the family.
