Dorothy Mae Tasker, 87, of Paxinos PA passed
away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in
Danville PA. She was born January 8, 1934 in Shamokin PA the daughter of
the late Charles R. and Mary Murdock Cawthern.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66
years, Aubrey Bradford “Bill” Tasker of Paxinos PA. They were married April
5, 1954.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Russian
Orthodox Church in Mount Carmel PA
Dorothy was an exceptionally dedicated
homemaker with great devotion to her husband and family throughout her
life. She enjoyed crocheting. She loved to cook, and she delighted her
family and friends with many delicious Sunday meals that she lovingly
prepared.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by
two sons: Aubrey B. Tasker, Jr. of Paxinos PA and David M. Tasker and his
wife Michelle of Elysburg PA and one daughter, Dorothy Mae “Dottie”
Snyder and her husband John of Paxinos PA.
Also surviving are six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is
also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by one brother, Richard
C. Cawthern and his wife Carol of Paxinos PA and one sister, Jane Mull of
Northumberland PA. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Billy,
John, George, Harry and Paul Cawthern and two sisters: Gertrude Wetzel and
Mary Fortune.
Services will be private at the convenience of
the family.
