Dolores A. Reedy, 91, of Danville PA, passed
away peacefully on February 15, 2021 at RiverWoods in Lewisburg PA. She
born April 9, 1929 in Williamsport PA the daughter of the late Jesse and
Beatrice Keefer Keller.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of
43 years, Robert J. Reedy. They were married January 5, 1945.
Dolores was employed for 26 years as a cook at
Maria Joseph Manor in Danville PA, from where she retired in 1992.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
of Columbia Hill Danville PA. She was also a member of the Milton Moose.
Dolores enjoyed painting ceramics and especially
enjoyed taking bus trips to Lancaster PA. She will be deeply missed for her
loving devotion to her family. She especially loved being around her
grandkids, all of whom she adored.
She is survived by four sons; Robert Reedy, Jr.
and his wife Kay of Lewisburg PA; Ralph Reedy and his wife Susan of Danville
PA; Tom Reedy and his wife Jane of Danville PA and George Reedy and his wife
Jennifer of Wamsutter Wyoming; one daughter, Ellen Remick and her husband
George of Danville PA and one daughter-in-law, Leona Reedy of Cheyenne
Wyoming. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and
eight great-great grandchildren. Dolores is also survived by two brothers;
Edwin Keller and his wife Beverly and Dale Bardo and his wife Charlene and
three sisters: Betty Lou Staeb, Ramona Love and her husband Howard and
Almetta Troupe and her husband Henry.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ernest
Reedy in 2014; one grandson, Ralph Reedy, Jr. in 2018 and one
great-grandson, Evan Reedy; one brother, Raymond Keller and one sister,
Arminta Ranck.
A Private Celebration of Dolores’s Life will be
held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc.
42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend David Dearing
officiating. Friends will be received before the service from 11:30 until
12:45 PM. With respect to Covid-19 restrictions, friends and family may
view her service remotely by Facebook Livestream at
www.facebook.com/visneskifh. Burial will be
held in Elan Memorial Park in Bloomsburg PA.
The family will provide flowers.
