Todd Take

October 11, 2020

Todd Tate, 56, of Flinton PA passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA as the result of an accident.   He was born October 23, 1963 in State College PA, the son of the late Franklin Tate and Nancy Porter.

Todd was a self-employed roofer and laborer for most of his life.

Todd was well known for his happy disposition and how much he loved life.  Having a kind and generous heart, he was always helping people even though he might not have known them. Todd enjoyed quilting, traveling to West Virginia, camping, taking trips out to Sturgis every year, riding motorcycles, and hanging out with his friends. His favorite color was definitely purple and you would never see him without his Galliker's Chocolate Milk and Marlboro Reds.

Todd is survived by two daughters: Tessa Tate of Bellefonte PA and Melinda Parson and her husband Timmy of Lewistown PA and one son, Alexander Tate of Bellefonte PA. Also surviving is one grandson Jordan Parson.

He will be dearly missed by countless friends and his family. His absence in this world will be felt, but the richness with which he blessed our lives will never fade.

A personal note from Tessa: I am so grateful for growing up with one of the best dads in the world.  I will never forget our time spent together and will cherish every memory shared.  He deserved so much more time here with all of us. I will love you forever, daddy!
At Todd's request there will be no services.   Instead, his family is confident that he would like you to smile, be happy, and to fly high.

Memorial contributions may be made to The House of Care 100 N Acadamy Ave, Danville, PA 17822.  A GoFundMe account has been set up to assist the family with expenses resulting from his accident https://www.gofundme.com/f/25isx8dd00?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA 17821.
