Randall Stuart VonBlohn

Randall Stuart VonBlohn, 72, of Riverside, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at home.  He was born October 8, 1947 in Bloomsburg PA ญญญญญญญญญ the son of the late Stuart VonBlohn and Dorothy Jean Kerstetter VonBlohn of New Columbia PA.

Randy graduated from Danville High School.

He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force from 1966 – 1969.

He was employed as a psychiatric aide at Danville State Hospital, from where he retired in 1997.

Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Paula Gordner VonBlohn.  They were married in Rutland Vermont and would have celebrated their 25th Anniversary in October.

An avid outdoorsman, Randy enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and camping.  He loved bowling.  He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan.  Randy was deeply devoted to his family.  He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren as well as his faithful companion dog, Elvis.  His easy going and loving ways will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons, Christopher Tanner and his wife Roseanne of Warminster PA; Josh VonBlohn and his wife Pam of Hughesville PA and Brad Tanner and his companion Deb of Bloomsburg PA and one daughter; Tracy Tanner Lyle of Danville PA.  Also surviving are four grandchildren: Dana, Chanel, Sadie and Rydder.  He is survived by one brother, Denny VonBlohn and his wife Jane of Danville PA and two sisters: Sheila Enterline of Turbotville PA and Kathy Burton of New Columbia PA.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandson in infancy, Kaleb, in 2010.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.
