Mary L. Wilt

Mary L. Wilt, 91, of Catawissa and formerly of Cooper Street in Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 at her residence.  She was born June 29, 1929 in Hughesville PA the daughter of the late Domer and Edna Spireman Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 51 years, William W. Wilt, Jr. in October of 1997.  They were married June 22, 1946

Mary was a seamstress at Danville Silk Mill in her earlier years.  Later she was employed in Linen Services at Geisinger Medical Center, from where she retired in June of 1991.

She was very fond of recording Family History.  Mary enjoyed collecting anything and everything of Betty Boop and Elvis Presley.

She is survived by one son: William W. Wilt, III and his wife Kim of Danville PA and one daughter, Linda Lou Hendricks and her husband George of Elysburg PA.  She was preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Lou Weiser in September 2014 and Kathy Lou Wilt in April of 2020.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren; Tammy Barbosa, Melissa Read, Lisa Kroh, George Hendricks, Melinda Hendricks, Franklin Gearhart, Jessica Bogart, Tanner Roney and William W. Wilt, IV.  She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; Brian Klopp, William Barbosa, Regan Read, Shannon Kroh, Aiden Hendricks, Brady Hendricks, Chloe Hendricks, Mekayla Hendricks, Tyler Hendricks, Bruce Gearhart and William Richendrfer and two great-great grandchildren; Leah Klopp and Bailey Klopp.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Mason Gearhart in 2014, one brother, Donald Snyder and one sister, Doris Adams. 

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Comfort Keepers for their kindness, compassion and care.  

Memorial Contributions can be made to Geisinger Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.
