Loraine K. Prutzman

Loraine K. Prutzman, 90, formerly of Danville PA passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020 at Manor Care in Sunbury PA where she had resided since 2015.   She was born December 29, 1929 in Kingston PA the daughter of the late Loren and Henrietta Garinger Keller.

She was married for 54 years to Frank S. Prutzman who preceded her in death October 17, 2010.  They were married October 13, 1956.

Loraine graduated from Lake Lehman High School.

She was a dedicated farmwife and homemaker for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking and baking.  She will be well remembered for her delicious Chocolate Mayonnaise cake enjoyed by all of her family and friends. Her kind heart will be deeply missed.

Loraine was a loyal and dedicated member of the Fort McClure Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution where she served over 50 years since 1963. She also served as a Fort McClure Honorary Regent.   Loraine was involved in many positions at the State Level and was on the National Speakerís staff.

She was a former member of Rush Baptist Church and a member of First Baptist Church in Danville where she served in the Senior Choir, Wednesday night meals and as a deaconess.

She is survived by one son, David M. Prutzman and his wife Rosemarie of Danville PA and one daughter, Suzanne E. Knight of Ravenna Ohio.  She is also survived by five grandchildren; Christopher Prutzman, Timothy Prutzman and his wife Brandy, Nicholas Prutzman, Micheala Knight Zager and her husband Louis and Cheyenne Knight.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Kiel.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimerís Association 57 North Franklin Street Wilkes-Barre PA 18701 or online www.alz.org.
