Joseph W. Schott


March 3, 2020


Joseph W. Schott, 63, of Bloomsburg, PA passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at his residence.  He was born December 19, 1956 in Danville PA the son of Joseph A. and Ethel Jean O’Brien Schott, who survive.

Joseph graduated from Danville High School in 1974 and attended Penn College in Williamsport PA.

Joseph was a self-employed handyman and enjoyed helping others.

He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion in Bloomsburg PA and the Sandy Run Camp.

Joseph was an avid reader and enjoyed everything he could get his hands on about cars.  His thoughtful and caring spirit will be deeply missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, MaryAnn Gillespie of San Antonio Texas.   Also surviving is one niece, Julianne Gillespie and her wife, Sarah.  He was preceded in the untimely death of his nephew, Jonathan Gillespie in 2003.

Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home 42 W Mahoning Street Danville PA 17821.
