Janet A. Dailey

Janet A. Dailey, 86, of Riverside, PA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  She was born February 12, 1934 in Danville PA, the daughter of the late Fain and Lois Bolig Spotts.

She was married for 51 years to Ralph James Dailey, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 10, 2003.  They were married in 1952.

Janet graduated from Danville High School in 1952.

Janet was a devoted homemaker for most of her life.  She was employed part-time by Cainís Pharmacy while attending high school.

Janet was a member of St. Peterís United Methodist Church where she served with The Womenís Society for many years, St. Peterís Food Bank and was the coordinator for funeral luncheons. Janet will be remembered by many for teaching Sunday School to 3 and 4-year olds for numerous years. She loved to cook and bake and could be seen riding her bicycle daily to the post office and her motherís house.  Janetís life was centered around her home, her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her kind and selfless spirit and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one son Ralph James Dailey, Jr. and his wife Joan of Danville, PA, and one daughter Linda Fowler and her husband Jim of Danville, PA.  She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jimmy and Jessica Fowler, Ryan Dailey, Erin Dailey Carswell and Dylan Dailey as well as four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Shirley Weiss and her husband Bill of Quakertown, PA and Mary Weiss of Danville, PA.

Relatives and friends may view a Celebration of Janetís life remotely by Facebook Livestream at www.facebook.com/visneskifh on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 am with her pastor, the Reverend Victoria Apicella of St. Peterís United Methodist Church officiating. A private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery Danville, PA.

The family will provide flowers.  Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peterís United Methodist Church 426 Sunbury Road, Riverside, PA 17868.
