Grace B. Reinaker

November 3, 2020

Grace B. Reinaker, 93, of Danville, PA, went home to be with her Lord early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 at her residence.  She was born May 4, 1927 in Danville PA the daughter of the late Walter A. and Ruth Remick Blue.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Harold E. Reinaker in 1974.

Grace was a graduate of Danville High School in 1945 and the Williamsport School of Cosmetology.

She was a self-employed beautician for over 50 years.

Grace was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ where she served as a pianist and Sunday School teacher, was on the Consistory for 11 years, was commissioned as a lay minister, and was the Coordinator of Church Affairs.   In earlier years, she was a member of the Valley Grange 1184 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.


Grace was highly active in her community volunteering for the Montour County Public Assistance Office for more than 20 years.  Grace enjoyed many things in her life including traveling, rose gardening, knitting, and reading.  She touched so many lives with her sweet, caring and thoughtful presence.  Most of all, she adored her family, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will all miss her kind and loving spirit.

She is survived by two sons: The Honorable Dennis E. Reinaker of Lancaster PA and the Reverend Charles H. Reinaker of Danville PA and one daughter Debra Guffey of Clearwater FL.  Also surviving are five grandchildren; Joseph Binder, Jennifer Binder, and Matthew, Andrew and Elizabeth Reinaker as well as five great-grandchildren; Zachary Binder, Kayson Binder, Jack Slaymaker, Brinley Slaymaker and Lyla Grace Reinaker.  Also surviving are two sisters: Phyllis Tysenn of Tucson AZ and Jean Reynolds and her husband Clarence of Northumberland PA.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers:  Charles Blue, John W. Blue, Samuel Blue and Max L. Blue and one sister, Alice Geise.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
