Ginger Lee Mountz,
69, of Titusville, FL passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Geisinger Medical
Center in Danville PA. She was born March 31, 1951 in Mechanicsburg PA, the
daughter of the late Gilbert R. and Jennie Elizabeth Zeigler Oxenford.
She is survived by
her husband of 49 years, Jay R. Mountz. They were married on June 13,
1970. This year would have marked their 50th anniversary.
She graduated from
Susquehanna High School in 1969 and later from Brevard Community College
with a degree in Nursing. She sought higher education later in life than
most and was very proud of her nursing degree.
Ginger was a
registered nurse who specialized in surgery. She was a travel nurse for
many years. Ginger worked in various locations such as Phoenix, AZ and Palm
Springs, CA. She retired from Jess Parish Hospital in Titusville, FL in
Ginger loved the
water. A pool would do, but she truly loved oceans and the beach. In
recent years, she lived between Titusville, FL and Mount Pleasant Mills,
PA. She enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening. She loved life and
was always the first to laugh.
In addition to her
husband, she is survived by her daughter, Joy E. Mountz of Orlando FL, and
her beloved granddaughter Kiara J. Greene (“Grandma’s Girl”) of Orlando, FL.
Also surviving are
two sisters; Jean L. Robards and Janet L. Oxenford of Harrisburg PA.
burial will be private and held at a later date at Indiantown Gap National
Cemetery Annville PA.
