Bonnie S. Martz, 60, of Danville, PA, passed
away peacefully on November 25, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville
PA. She was born September 8, 1960 in Sunbury PA, the daughter of Robert
Yount of Unityville PA and Lois Haines Fausey of Sunbury PA.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 37
years, Neal W. Martz, Jr. They were married in Williamsburg VA on August
21, 1984.
She graduated from Milton High School in 1978.
She was employed by Weis Markets in several
positions for over 20 years.
An avid bowler, she was a member of the Tuesday
Mixed Bowling League at Midway Lanes for over 10 years.
Bonnie enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting and
sewing. She loved traveling with her husband and enjoyed riding motorcycles
in previous years. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was the time
spent at family gatherings.
She will be remembered by many for her joyful
and happy disposition. Bonnie will be dearly missed by all who knew her for
her love of life and her beautiful smile.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is
survived by one son, Joshua Yount of Danville PA and one daughter, Cassandra
Shoup and her husband Adam of Elizabethtown PA. She is also survived by her
granddaughter, Charlotte, who lovingly called her “Tillie” as well as one
grandchild due to be born in February.
She is also survived by one brother, Timothy
Yount and his wife Kim of Mt. Pleasant Mills PA and one sister Tammy Wertz
of Turbotville PA and her stepsister, Karen Miller of Millville PA. She was
preceded in death by her stepmother, Lois Yount.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a
viewing to be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at
Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA. A Private
Celebration of Bonnie’s life will follow at 3:00 PM. With respect of
