Annette Cynthia Shalongo, 58, of Danville, PA,
passed away peacefully on December 13, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center in
Danville PA. She was born January 4, 1962 in Crossville TN. Annette was
the daughter of Bernard S. Shalongo of Paxinos and Emma Kay Shalongo of
Danville PA.
Annette graduated from Shamokin Area High
School in 1979. She also graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in
nursing.
Annette’s career in nursing took her from the
east coast to the west and many points between.
She was a free spirit who found beauty in the
simplest of things that life had to offer. She was an avid reader, loved her
trips to the Outer Banks with her family and any type of travel she was able
to arrange. She found great pleasure in cross stitching, finding seashells
and sea glass.
Annette had a passion for photography entering
many photo contests, as well as, doing wedding and graduation photos for
anyone who asked.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by
one brother, Jeffrey Shalongo and his wife Gale and her nephew James
Shalongo of Sunbury, PA.
She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
She was preceded in death by her cousin
Christine K. Wintersteen and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Annette’s life will be held at
a later date.
