William E. “D.J.” Hancock, III, 34, of
Danville, PA passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence.
He was born November 27, 1984 in Danville PA the son of William E. II and
Lori Ann Stump Hancock.
He attended Danville High School.
D.J will be remembered for his steady, quiet
steadfastness. His daughter was at the heart of all he did and she gave him
overwhelming joy in his life. He especially enjoyed outdoor activities with
her, including fishing. He would always lend out a hand to support any of
his friends and family. D.J. will be deeply missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by
one daughter, Kasey Shea of Danville PA and Jess Gerst, his longtime
companion; two sisters; Danielle and Stephanie of Danville PA; his paternal
grandmother, Dorothy H. Hancock and his maternal grandparents, Clair and
Nancy Stump; all of Danville PA. He is also survived by five nieces and
nephews; Anthony, Aiden, Emilee, Wade, Jr. and Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his paternal
grandfather, William E. Hancock and his Aunt Traci Crone.
Services and burial will be private at the
convenience of the family.
