Jean E. Kapp, 84, of Danville, PA left this
earth on Monday, October 1, 2019 to be greeted into Heaven by her Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ and to be reunited with the love of her life Harold at
her residence on October 1, 2019. She was born July 18, 1935 in Bloomsburg
PA the daughter of Hester P. Faus Fogle.
Jean graduated from Bloomsburg High School in
She was married for 44 years to her devoted
husband, Harold F. Kapp who preceded her in death April 7, 1999. They were
married on October 22, 1954.
At the age of thirteen she worked at Hoppes
Confectionary Restaurant. At 16 years of age she went to work at Columbia
Silk Mill and continued in school in the mornings and working in the
afternoon and evening until she graduated from Bloomsburg High School in
1953. Upon graduating she worked at Bell Telephone in Bloomsburg as a
telephone operator. After her children were born, Jean enjoyed being a
homemaker and mother until they were in school. She was then employed at
the Danville State Hospital as a psychiatric aide for 16 years.
Jean was an active member of First Baptist
Church of Danville where she served as deaconess, on the Martha Committee,
for the Care and Concerned and was President of the Friendship Circle. Jean
also enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and playing hand and foot with her friends.
She especially enjoyed Silver Sneakers including exercise and swimming. She
loved being a volunteer at The Good Samaritan in Danville PA for several

She is survived by daughters; Delores Nemecek
(Jack) of Fort Myers FL and Sharon Martz (Dennis) of Dalmatia PA; grandsons;
Nathan Fox (Dana) of Lancaster PA and Aaron Nemecek of Minnesota;
great-granddaughter, Laurel Fox, and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by two brothers;
Wilbur and John Fogle and five sisters; Margaret Kashner, Kay Snyder, Mary
Kashner, Ruth Webster and Rose DePoe
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a
Celebration of Jeanís Life on Monday, October 7, 2019 at11:00 AM at First
Baptist Church of Danville 12 Brookside Drive Danville PA with the Reverend
Dawes J. Dunham officiating assisted by the Reverend Dr. Harry H.
Wonderland. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will
be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.
