Freida Kay Andrusis

Freida Kay Andrusis ,65, of Danville, PA passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her home.  She was born November 24, 1953 in Danville PA the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Ogden Flanagan.

She graduated from Danville High School.

Freida attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville PA.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gerald P. Andrusis, whom she married September 4, 1976.

Freida enjoyed going for coffee with her husband, shopping and giving her grandchildren tender care as their babysitter.  She will be fondly remembered as an exceptionally dedicated homemaker and took great pride in her role as a wife, mother and grandmother.

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son; John V. Andrusis and his wife Carmen of Washingtonville PA and two daughters; Jennifer Healy and her husband Michael of Barrington, New Hampshire and Cynthia Andrusis and her fiancé Bryan Young of Bloomsburg PA.  Also surviving are her 11 grandchildren; Jacob, Ryan, Jedidiah, Ashley, Alyssah, Madison, John Jr., Jayden, Nathan, Carson and Carter.  She is also survived by one brother, Arthur “Archie” Flanagan and his wife Brenda of Bloomsburg, PA, and one sister, Sharon Biddinger and her husband Frank of Lewisburg PA as well as several nieces and nephews.

Freida was preceded in death by her son Gerald P. Andrusis, Jr. on October 17, 2014.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Freida’s life to be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church 215 East Market Street Danville PA with the Reverend Trevor J. Hahn officiating.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the church.

The family will provide flowers.  Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
