December 23, 2019

Elaine Louise Venarchick, 63, of Danville PA was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 23, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA.   She was born December 31, 1955 in Bloomsburg PA the daughter of Lester Gordon Carr and Pauline Smedley Hesbacher; both  of Danville PA.

She graduated from Danville High School in 1974.

Elaine is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Paul D. Venarchick.  They were married February 26, 1972.

Elaine attended Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton PA.

She loved Disney, especially Tinkerbell.  Her other interests included sewing, knitting and crocheting.  She was an avid reader.  The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored.

Elaine will always be remembered for her effervescent, kind and selfless personality which resulted from a strong faith, her confidence in Christ and her biblical standards.  Throughout her battle with cancer, her quiet and unpresuming strength leaves behind many who are immensely thankful for her presence in their lives and inspired by her example.

In addition to her mother, father and her husband, she is survived by one son; Brian Venarchick and his wife Sarah of Mountainville NY and two daughters; Robin Valiquette and her husband Gary of Watsontown PA and Rebecca Hawley and her husband Wayne of Turbotville PA.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Chelsey Houseknecht, Aimee Hauck, Cassandra Valiquette, Keaton and Evan Venarchick and Belanna and Daniel Hawley as well as two great-granddaughters; Isabella Lamade and Evelynne Grace Hauck.  She is also survived by her sister, Diane Marie Buck and her husband Alan of Colorado Springs CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Christ Wesleyan Church 363 Stamm Road Milton PA  17847 in the Davis Chapel with the Reverend Arlie Davis officiating.  Friends will be received from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at the church.  Burial will be private in Columbia Hill Cemetery Danville PA.

The family will provide flowers.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Christ Wesleyan Church Missions 363 Stamm Road Milton PA  17847.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home 42 W Mahoning Street Danville PA 17821.
