Paul Henry Pollard

January 18, 2018

Paul Henry Pollard, 61, of Sunbury, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at his home.   He was born November 5, 1956 in Allentown PA, the son of the late Clayton Lamar and Elizabeth Esias Pollard.

He graduated from Danville High School in 1976 and attended Bloomsburg University.

Paul was married for 28 years to Rita Huber Pollard.

He was employed as a delivery driver for Source One Imaging and Danville Sales and Service.   He was also a cook for many years at Franklin’s Restaurant.

The cancer ravaged his body, but not his soul.  When we lose someone, we mourn.  We cry for their pain, their fear and their sorrow, but mostly we mourn for ourselves and our loss, for all the things that are forever gone except in our memories, for that which we can’t replace, for that which will never be again; for all that he was to us; our husband, father and our friend; for his humor, his impressions, his sensitive side others may not have seen; for the storyteller, the bass player and the cook; for the music lover from Blue Oyster Cult to Warren Zevon, Neil Diamond and the Talking Heads; Monty Python lover and Eagles fan – Go Eagles!; for the keeper of trivia and odd things and a Manchester United fan; for all that he was to us.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Clayton Paul Pollard and Carl William Pollard and one brother, John “Jack” Clayton Pollard.  He was preceded in death by a half-brother and a half-sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with Pastor Richard Fangmann Zion Lutheran Church Sunbury PA officiating.

The family requests no flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Sunbury Animal Hospital 3920 State Route 890 Sunbury PA  17801 or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
