Shirley L. Pick

December 18, 2018

Shirley L. Pick, of Danville, and formerly of Rushtown, Northumberland County, PA,
passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Emmanuel Nursing
Center, Danville, PA. She was born June 25, 1933 in Mahoning Township, Montour
County, the daughter of the late Mearl and Helen Ford Krum.

She graduated from Danville High School in 1951.

She was married for 59 years to Robert W. Pick, who preceded her in death January 30,
2013. They were married November 14, 1953.

Shirley was employed part-time by Scottís Florist in Danville PA. In earlier years, she
worked for Terryís Fabric and Dora Dale Dress Shop; both of Danville.

She was a member of St. Peterís United Methodist Church in Riverside, where she helped
with many church functions and meals.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, gardening, home canning, quilting,
and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by one son Duane R. Pick and his wife, Yalonda, of Troy, PA and one
daughter, Debra K. Eddy and her husband, David, of Montrose CO. Also surviving are
four granddaughters; Chelsea Pick McQuade, Megan Pick Oldroyd, Kaylie Pick, and
Marlee Pick; and two grandsons, Michael and Jason Eddy. She is also survived by three
great-grandchildren; Ella Jane Eddy, Nolan Caleb Eddy, and Brynn Noelle Eddy.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Allison Pick in infancy; three brothers;
Donald Krum, Melvin (Mike) Krum, and Harold Krum; and one sister, Carol (Krum)

Relatives and friends will be received at 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM, Friday, December 21,
2018 at St. Peterís United Methodist Church, 240 Sunbury Road, Riverside, PA 17868,

followed by the service at 1:00 PM with her pastor, the Reverend Dr. Donald N. Hurley
officiating. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, PA. The
family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peterís United
Methodist Church, P.O. Box 428, Riverside, PA 17868.
