Robert Lee Kipple, Sr.

Robert Lee Kipple, Sr., 71, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.   He was born June 14, 1946 in Sunbury PA, the son of the late Leroy and Bernadine Diehl Kipple. 

He was married to his wife of 49 years, Bonnie Guffey Kipple, whom he married on October 12, 1968. 

Robert was employed by Sunbury Cheese Corporation, Hattens Greenhouse, Cabinet Industries and was last employed by J.C. Littlewood in Bloomsburg PA. 

Robert enjoyed many things in life; taking car rides, he loved “picnic time” and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with televisions and VCR’s.  He will be remembered for his friendly spirit and his ability to make friends wherever he went.  He frequented many Church Socials on Saturdays and looked forward to AGAPE on Thursdays, meeting with his friends there.  Above all, he loved his wife and family.  He was cherished by them and he will be missed greatly. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Robert, Jr. and his wife Angela of Bloomsburg PA; Matthew Kipple and his companion Kara of Danville PA and two daughters; Mary Share and her husband Chris of Danville PA and Penny Lewis and her companion Mike of Danville PA.   Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers; John Kipple of Sunbury PA and Dale Kipple, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Kipple and one grandson, Kodi A. Showers on September 29, 2016. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Robert’s life on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with Pastor Bill Renno officiating.   Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of service.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to AGAPE PO Box 424 Bloomsburg PA 178115 or online at www.AGAPE-PA.org.
