Emma Elizabeth Woll

Emma Elizabeth Woll, 87, of Danville, PA, passed away on April 16, 2018 at Grandview Health Homes, Inc.  in Danville.  She was born July 17, 1930 in Danville PA the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Best) Buchhalter. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1948. 

Emma was employed by Grants, McVey’s Furniture, Pine Barn Inn and was a housecleaner in several homes in the Danville area. 

She was married to the late Donald T. Woll who preceded her in death in 1985. 

Emma enjoyed gardening, reading and birdwatching. 

She is survived by two sons, Donald Timothy Woll and his wife Linda of Danville PA and John W. Woll and his wife Teresa, Bloomsburg PA and three daughters; Donna Cox of Montgomery PA; Jody Wenzel and her husband Michael of Pottstown PA and Mary Hackenberg and husband Bill of Muncy PA.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Louie, Michael, Donnie and Katie Cox, Emma, Anne and Joey Wenzel, Jonathan Woll, Jessie Bath and Tim Moyer as well as six great grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters: Mary “Miz” Kemp, Clara Hauck and Beryl Neitz. In addition to her husband, Emma was preceded in death by her companion, Alvin Rhoads, stepmother Delores Buchhalter, two brothers; Johnny and Keith Buchhalter and one grandson, Ryan Moyer. 

She will be missed by the Rhoads family from Hamburg NY and Ringtown PA. 

At Emma’s request, services will be private at the convenience of the family.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice 109 West 9th Street Berwick PA  18603 or Geisinger Home Health and Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you show an act of kindness toward someone.
