Timothy P. Burkland

June 19, 2017

Timothy P. Burkland, 58, of Danville PA passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1958 in Danville PA, the son of the late Rolland and Mary Ellen Leitzel Burkland. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1976. 

Tim was employed as a telecommunications installer at various telecommunication companies throughout the years. 

He was a member of the Danville Moose, American Legion Post 40, Danville VFW and several fire companies.   

Tim enjoyed golfing.  He was an avid football fan, especially for the Oakland Raiders and Penn State.  He also enjoyed attending NASCAR races.  A very social person, Tim had a wonderful sense of humor who loved the time spent with his friends and his family. 

He is survived by his longtime companion, Karen “Squirrel” Baum of Danville PA.  Also surviving are two brothers; Rolland “Butch” Burkland of Scranton PA and David A. Burkland of Danville PA and two sisters; Barbara A. Womer and her husband Larry of Mt. Pleasant Mills PA and Laura Susan Klinger of Danville PA.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Jason A. Burkland of Sunbury PA and Heidi N. Burkland of Sunbury PA.

A Celebration of Tim's life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
