Joann Louise Hittle

Joann Louise Hittle, 67, of 101 Lower Street, Danville, PA, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She was born August 18, 1949 in Danville, PA the daughter of the late James A. and Lois L. (Cameron) Hagenbuch. 

Joann was married for 33 years to the late Jon W. Hittle who preceded her in death on March 18, 2012. 

She graduated from Danville Area High School in 1967. 

Joann was employed as an aide at the Danville State Hospital and a Desk Clerk at the Red Roof Inn.  

She enjoyed cooking and baking, going out to eat, and collecting Tiffany Lamps and purses. Joann had a great sense of humor and her laugh was contagious. She loved spending time and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. Her family was at the heart of all she did and gave her much delight in her lifetime. 

Two daughters survive her; Tami Harmon and her fiancé Marion Carter and Tara Lehman and her companion Christopher McLaurin both of Sunbury. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Amanda, Tara, Lauren, Ghilaan, Joslynn, Jace, and November and three great-grandchildren; Braelin, Khaleal, and Eli. She is also survived by one brother; James C. Hagenbuch and his wife Annette of Danville.  Also surviving are one niece and two nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life to be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street, Danville, PA with Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 11:15 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. 

The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701-9550.
