Faye S. Hauck

February 3, 2017

Faye S. Hauck, 81, of Danville, passed away February 2, 2017 at Columbia Montour Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville.  She was born in Bloomsburg on December 12, 1935, the daughter of Mervin Mensch and Eva (Stine) Mensch Ernest. 

She graduated from Locust Township High School in 1953, was the 1954 Pennsylvania Potato Blossom Queen, and earned a Secretarial Degree from Thompson Business School, Harrisburg in 1955.  

Faye was married for 60 years to the late Raymond L. Hauck. They were married on September 17, 1955.   

She was employed as a medical secretary, dental assistant, and secretary for Hauck Contracting.  

Faye was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Millgrove where she served faithfully in the choir for many years. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and traveling with her husband in their motor home.  

She is survived by: her daughter Diane Long and her husband David (Danville); her son Gary Hauck and his wife Joan (Danville); grandsons Christopher Long and his wife Jamie, Matthew Long, Jeffrey Hauck, and Jonathon Hauck.  Also surviving are two sisters; Judy Havice and her husband Zeke and Margie Focht and her husband Carl; one stepsister, Cindy Ernest and one stepbrother Frank Ernest.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son and her sister Holly McAnall.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Faye’s Life to be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Grace United Church of Christ in Millgrove (1 Pension Street, Catawissa, PA) with her Pastor Dave Adams officiating.  Friends will be received from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Millgrove.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial Contributions may be made to  Grace United Church of Christ.
