Scott Davis, 55, of Danville, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on
Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by his
family and friends. He was born November 1, 1962 in Danville, PA; the son
of the late Kenneth F. Davis and June E. Fisher Davis of Danville PA.
graduated from Danville Area High School in 1980. He also attended WTTI
Welding School and was certified in Health Physics.
served his country in the United States Air Force from 1980-1983.
was married for 34 years to Denise E. Olson Davis, the love of his life,
whom he married September 17, 1983.
career employee for 29 years, he was employed by P,P & L as a welder that
included traveling to numerous plants. His employment there also included
teaching in the Nuclear Health Physics Department.
a member of First Baptist Church of Danville where he was the Coordinator of
the Wild Game Outreach Dinners.
was a member of the Danville Masonic Lodge F & AM, the NRA and the National
Wild Turkey Federation.
avid outdoorsman, Daymon thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a
national and international turkey call champion. He loved working on cars,
most notably his 1969 Firebird that he recently restored. He was an expert
griller and handyman. Daymon was a devoted husband and father. Another
passion in his life was mentoring children which included taking Make A Wish
Foundation children hunting. He was an amazing and compassionate man who
loved sharing his faith in Jesus Christ which was his source of strength
during his life. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his
family whom he adored, as well as his two dogs; Han and Bear and his cat,
addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by one daughter;
Samantha J. Davis, at home. He is also survived by one sister, Victoria
Krauter and her husband Steve of Milton PA and one brother, Kenneth F. Davis
and his wife Teresa of South Carolina. He is also survived by his nephew
Clive Bell and his wife Heather of Danville PA whom he loved like a
brother. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Donald
and Helen Olson of Orangeville PA as well as his brothers-in-law; Donald
Olson, Jr. of Danville PA and Dale Olson of Orangeville PA. Also surviving
are his nieces and nephews; Sandy McVay and her husband Neil, Jacob Davis
and Lauren Davis as well as Shawna Sanders and Brad Olson and his
great-nieces and nephews; Colton, Alyssa and Taylor Bell and Brianna and
Trey McVay. Three uncles also survive him; Stan Davis and his wife Ginny,
Harold and his wife Mary Ann; both of Danville and Keith and his wife Ann of
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Daymonís Life
to be held
Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church 12 Brookside
Drive (off 642 E) Danville PA with his friend, Reverend Dawes J. Dunham
officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will
be in the Odd Fellows Columbarium, Danville, PA. Military rites will be
accorded by the Montour County Veterans Association.
