Caroline Taylor, 85, of Bloomsburg PA passed away March 2, 2017 at Grandview
Health Homes, Inc. Danville PA. She was born August 5, 1931 in
Robertsdale, PA, the daughter of the late Angelo and Carolina Giambra.
was married for 53 years to George P. Taylor, Jr. who preceded her in death
on February 28, 2003. They were married August 8, 1949.
graduated from Houstontown High School in 1948.
Caroline worked as a waitress for most of her life including restaurants on
the PA Turnpike as well as restaurants in Bedford County. Locally, she
waitressed at Frosty Valley Country Club. She particularly enjoyed
waitressing at the fish fries held at the Danville American Legion.
attended Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran Church in Danville PA where she
served faithfully at their luncheons. She was a member of the Danville
American Legion Auxiliary.
Caroline enjoyed gardening and she loved animals. She was an avid auction
attendee over the years. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was
vacationing with her husband, especially to Williamsburg, Virginia, which
they visited numerous times.
is survived by two sons; Preston Taylor of Allegan, MI and Robert Taylor of
Harrison Township, MI and two daughters; Regina E. Beck of Allegan, MI and
Cynthia Caputo and her husband Anthony of Hightstown, NJ. Also surviving is
one grandson, Christopher Caputo. She is also survived by two sisters;
Helen Murray of Carteret, NJ and Mary Figard of Everett, PA. Caroline was
also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
two sisters; Ramona Dowches and Angie Giambra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held on
Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran
Church 407 Pine Street Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Lois Martin
officiating. There will be no calling hours. The burial will follow at Mount
Tabor Cemetery in Houstontown, PA.
The family will
provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to be to The Danville
