Linda Lou Tobias

September 26, 2016

Linda Lou Tobias, 71, of 1001 Toby Run Road Danville, PA made her journey home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the evening of September 25, 2016. Born on August 18, 1945 at Sunbury Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Rolandus Freeman and Isabelle Kathryn Zechman Brouse.

She graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1963 and as an RN from the Geisinger School of Nursing in 1966. She was a devoted nurse at Geisinger Medical Center in the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Tel-A-Nurse and in Hospice Nursing.

A great encourager, Linda touched many lives over the years by being a Godly example of love. She always had a listening ear, a kind word and made time to help those in need.

Desiring for people to know the Lord, she helped begin Circle of Friends Ladies group at First Baptist Church of Danville as well as several other ministries and led many Bible studies over her lifetime.

"Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her."

Linda leaves behind her devoted husband, Lester F. "Ladd" Tobias, with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this December 24th. Her legacy is continued in her three children: Chelsi Shultz and her husband Michael, Tayt Tobias and Chase Tobias and his wife Nicole as well as her six grandchildren; Reed, Gracie, Case, Ezeriah, Adeliah and Aylah, all of Danville. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Bickel, of Selinsgrove. She will be greatly missed by her dachshund "boys" Tucson and Cooper and grand-dogs Diego and Emmy Lou.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Linda’s life to be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 20 Brookside Drive Danville, PA with Pastor Tom Carney officiating. Friends will be received from 9 until 10:45 at the church.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Journeymate Ministries 1700 Main Street Lightstreet PA 17815, WPGM Radio PO Box 236 Danville PA 17821 or Your Loving Choices 904 Market Street Bloomsburg PA 17815.
