Anthony Mazurkevich

June 20, 2016

Anthony Mazurkevich, 78, 6 Ivy Lane, Danville, formerly of Montoursville, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 7, 1937 in Mt. Carmel, PA the son of the late Anthony and Martha (Ositko) Mazurkevich.

Anthony graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1955.

He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Donna Brazinski Skelding Mazurkevich whom he married July 25, 1987

He was employed for 30 years as a Store Manager at PP&L, from where he retired.

Anthony was a member of The Knights of Columbus in the Third and Fourth degree and was a lifetime member of the American Hose Fire Company.

He loved to travel, go to dinner with friends and his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Along with his wife, Anthony is survived by one son; Anthony F. Mazurkevich and wife Angie of Mt. Carmel, PA and two daughters; Melissa Stabinski and husband Lance of Marian Heights, PA and Dr. Kimberly Skelding and husband Kollin Harman of Danville, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Marissa, Kristina, Christopher, Eric, Blake and Lexi. Also surviving are two brothers; John Mazurkevich of Lancaster, PA and Paul Mazurkevich of Kulpmont, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 18 East Center Street, Danville, PA 17821 with Reverend James E. Lease as Celebrant. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA. Military rites will be accorded by The American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mt. Carmel Public Library, 30 S Oak Street, Mt. Carmel, PA 17851.
