Paul Andrew Roup

Paul Andrew Roup, 84, of 25 Roup Lane Danville PA passed away peacefully Friday, January 16, 2015 at Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall Danville PA. He was born July 6, 1930 in Bloomsburg Hospital Bloomsburg PA the son of the late Earl and Carrie Steinman Roup. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1948 and was a lifelong Danville area resident.

Paul was married for 63 years to H. Maxine Mathias Roup whom he married December 30, 1951

He opened Roup Feed Mill on April 17, 1962.  Later, along with his son, Gordon, he opened and operated the Mausdale Garage from 1972 until 2000. 

Paul  was a member of the former St. John's United Church of Christ, Mausdale PA which is currently Community Alliance Church where he had currently attended.  His other memberships included  Montour DeLong Fair, Montour Antique Tractors Association and the Pullers Association. 

Paul had a lifelong love for farming and also enjoyed hunting. But above all, his most treasured moments were spending time with his family whom he adored.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Gordon Roup and his wife Terry of Danville PA  and two daughters; Karen Ketchem and her husband Daniel of Rensselaer IN and Cinde Roup and her husband Marty Cabelly of Bloomsburg PA.  He is also survived by three grandchildren; Sarah Aeppli, Nicole Judge and Ian Roup and four great granchildren; Amanda, Gabby, Wyatt and Lily.  He was preceded in death by a twin daughter, Kathy Roup in 1952. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Community Alliance Church 2 Church Hill Road (off of Route 54 Mausdale) with the Reverend Nathan King officiating.  Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.
