Mark Douglas Mader

Mark Douglas Mader, 55, of Danville, died unexpectedly at Geisinger Medical Center on March 14, 2015 after complications related to an infection.

Mark was born on December 16, 1959 to Janice (Davidson) Sharkey and the late Terry Mader. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Leanne Mader of Woodbury, N.J.; two young nephews, Ian and Ethan Mader; and a step-brother, Tom Sharkey of Florida.  

After being hit by a car on Memorial Day of 1975, Mark spent the rest of his life as a paraplegic. He was a member of West Deptford (N.J.) High School of 1978.  

Mark enjoyed volunteering at the Pennsylvania S.P.C.A. and working at the Danville Area Community Center. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach.  

A memorial celebration will be private at the request of the family. Memorial contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to The Danville Area Community Center PO Box 125 Danville PA 17821.  Arrangements are under the direction of and all correspondence will be handled by Visneski Funeral Home, 10 West Mahoning Street, Danville. www.visneski.com
