Matthew James Cunfer

February 12, 2015

Matthew James Cunfer, 26, of 1 Brookside Drive Danville PA went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2015 at his residence.  He was born April 15, 1988 in Indianapolis Indiana the son of James A. and Lisa M. Walburn Cunfer with whom he resided.

He graduated from Danville High School in 2006 where he enjoyed playing on the football team as an offensive lineman being recognized on the field as #60.  He also graduated from Penn State University with a degree in  Business Administration in 2011.

Matthew attended First Baptist Church.  He was an avid fisherman.  Matthew was also very proficient in technology.  He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and Indiana Pacers fan.  Matthew was well known for his outgoing, appealing personality and  wonderful sense of humor. He always enjoyed being together with his "core" group of friends at Danville High School and at Penn State University.  It was a fact that while attending Penn State you would find him in class Monday through Friday, but when Saturday came, he was at Beaver Stadium from sun-up to sundown.  One of Matthew's greatest enjoyments was spending time with his nephew, Landon, whom he adored. Matthew was loved deeply by his entire family.  They will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Jared M. Cunfer of Danville PA and his paternal grandmother, Betty Cunfer of Drums PA.  Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Matthew's Life to be held Monday, February 16th, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church 20 Brookside Drive (off of 642 E.) Danville PA with the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating assisted by the Reverend Dawes Dunham.  Burial will be private.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
