Keith Edward Buchhalter

Keith Edward Buchhalter, 82, of Danville PA passed from this life to his eternal life on Tuesday,  December 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1933 in Danville PA the son of the late John and Ruth (Best) Buchhalter.  Keith was very fortunate to have a second mother, Dolores Buchhalter, as a result of his mother Ruth passing away when Keith was 18 months old. 

Keith served his country in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War.  He was stationed in England for three of the four years. 

After serving his country,  Keith lived in New York City where he married Kathleen Hunsinger.  They eventually  retired to Florida.  After his wife's passing two years ago, Keith returned to his hometown. 

Keith is survived by his only daughter, Wendy Miller of Milton, PA; one grandson Derek Miller of Ashland, PA and two great-grandsons, Trey and Kash Miller.  He is also survived by four sisters, Mary L. Kemp, Emma Woll, Clara Hauck all of Danville, PA and Beryl Neitz of Mesa, AZ.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. 

Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 40 175 Northumberland Street  Danville PA  17821.
