Grace E. Nogle

July 23, 2015

Grace E. Nogle, 85, of Danville PA passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Vintage Knolls Senior Living Community Danville PA where she resided and called home for the past ten months.  She enjoyed friendly fellowship of the residents and staff there. 

She was born November 23, 1929 in Winfield PA the daughter of the late James and Cora Rumfelt Trevitz. 

Grace attended the Sunbury School District.  She was a homemaker all of her life and shared responsibilities of farm life and caring for their apple orchard with her husband.  The couple were known for making some of the best apple cider in the area. 

 She was married for 53 years to her beloved husband, John Daniel Nogle, Sr. who preceded her in death December 12, 2001. They were married February 28, 1948. 

The greatest enjoyment in her life was her family to whom she was devoted.  Her door was always open to family, friends and neighbors.  Her hospitality was extended to everyone that entered her home.  She was especially known for her kindness and the insistence of serving meals or snacks to whomever stopped by for a visit. 

She will be greatly missed by three sons; John Nogle, Jr. and his wife Louise of Danville PA; Gary Nogle and his wife Carol of Bloomsburg PA and Terry Nogle and his wife Maryann of Danville PA and one daughter, Joyce Tobias and her husband Kenneth of Danville PA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Ilene Bausch, James Nogle, Jennifer Tressler, Karen Woodruff, Michael Nogle, Lisa Dildine, Sara Nogle and Molly Nogle and nine great-grandchildren; Brynna, Eric, Abby, Adam, Andrew, Kate, Hunter, Lucas and Levi. 

Grace was the last member of her immediate family.  She was preceded in death by two sisters and ten brothers. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with Geisinger Columbia Montour Chaplain, Robert Barner officiating.  Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Geisinger Columbia Montour Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815. www.visneski.com
