Eleanor A. Lee

Eleanor A. Lee, 86, of 703 Circle Drive, Danville passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Nazareth Center at Maria Joseph Manor, Danville.  She was born July 10, 1928 in Canonsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Grubbs Wilson. 

Eleanor was married to Robert W. Lee for 39 years who preceded her in death in 1989. 

She attended Canonsburg High School and graduated in 1946. 

Eleanor was employed as a legal secretary after high school.  She was then employed by her husband's business, Petrie Industrial Tractors from where she retired in 1989. 

She was a member of Delmont Presbyterian Church and also attended Grove Presbyterian Church in Danville, PA. 

Eleanor enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing and golf.  She also instructed and played Mahjong.  In earlier years, she was a den mother. Eleanor 's greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family whom she adored. 

She is survived by one son; Robert W. Lee and his wife Debra of Albuquerque, New Mexico and one daughter; Cathy L. Sanders and her husband David C. of Danville, PA.  Eleanor is also survived by four grandchildren; Amanda Adler, Andrew Sanders, Hanna Lee, and Jennifer Lee. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren; Ella and Brian Adler. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Nancy Lee Jellick and four brothers and three sisters. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Eleanor's Life to be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Grove Presbyterian Church 330 Bloom Street, Danville with the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officiating.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

 The family will provide flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church.
