Richard Scott Walter, 77, of Riverside PA died Wednesday, September 3, 2014
at his residence. He was born June 3, 1937 in Coaldale Hospital in Coaldale
PA. He was the son of the late Harold Scott and Helen Fulmer Walter.
attended elementary and junior high school in Milton PA. He graduated from
Valley Forge Military Academy in 1945 and from Lock Haven State College in
Richard was employed as a Pennsylvania History and Civics teacher for the
Danville Area School District for 35 years.
a member of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church Danville PA.
Richard loved golfing, fishing, hunting and attending auctions.
survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Diane Burrows Walter. They were
married May 30, 1959. Also surviving are two sons; Richard Timothy Walter
and his wife Debra of Danville PA and Randall Scott Walter and his wife Jodi
of Riverview FL. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Jeremiah, Jenna,
Candace, Andrew, Travis, Alec and Erin. He is also survived by three
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be held
Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Columbarium at Odd Fellows
Cemetery 1400 Bloom Road Danville PA with the Reverend Nancy Shank
officiating. The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be
