Phyllis I. Willet

Phyllis I. Willet, 92, of 227 West Mahoning Street Danville PA passed away Saturday evening, May 17, 2014 at Columbia Montour Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville PA.  She was born December 4, 1921 in Rush Township Northumberland County PA the daughter of the late Orville R. and Verna Hower Shultz. 

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Elmer L. Willet whom she married March 7, 1942. 

She graduated from Danville High School.  She was employed by two clothing mills; Nite Kraft Clothing and Hanes Manufacturing.  She was also employed by TRW, Inc. and Danville State Hospital, from where she retired. 

She was a member of Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church Sunbury PA. 

She enjoyed playing cards, camping and going on picnics.  Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, whom she adored. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one granddaughter, Kasey Bickford and her husband Robert of Danville PA and one grandson, Kyle Willet and his wife Tammy of McSherrytown PA.  She is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Morgan Willet.

Also surviving is one brother, Orville V. Shultz of Danville, one sister, Barbara Fenstermaker of Danville PA and one sister-in-law, Frances Shultz of Danville PA.   

 She was preceded in death by her son, Terry L.Willet on April 5, 1986.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Clinton Shultz and Cameron Shultz and by one  sister, Lois Lloyd. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:30 AM  at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with the Reverend Gregory A. Milinovich officiating. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Stonington PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  The family will provide flowers  Memorial contributions may be made to Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church 319 Catawissa Avenue Sunbury PA  17801.  www.visneski
