Mary S. Niles

March 25, 2014

Mary S. Niles, 86, formerly of 238 West Mahoning Street Danville and a resident of the Emmanuel Nursing Center at Maria Joseph passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA.  She was born July 22, 1927 in Danville PA the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Marie C. Fallon Sears. 

She graduated from Danville High School in 1944 and from Bucks County Community College in Bucks County PA.   

Mary was employed as a lab technician for Merck and Company for 13 years and also for Betz Labs in Trevose PA. 

Mary was a member of both American Legion Auxiliary of Penndel PA and Danville PA.  She enjoyed bowling, archery and the outdoors. 

She was married to the late Lester Lawton and the late Earl Niles. 

She is survived by one son, Raymond L. Lawton of Point of Rocks MD and two grandchildren; Michael Lawton of Las Vegas Nevada and Erika Lawton of Gwynn Oak MD.   Also surviving is one foster grandson, Ricky Gonzalez of Connecticut and eight great-great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by one son, Edward L. Lawton while serving in the Vietnam War.  Also surviving are several cousins. 

A Celebration of Mary's Life  will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA.
