Lucy Halliburton Hill, 91,
of Danville, PA passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 surrounded by her son and
daughter at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
She was born April 23, 1923
in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late John B. and Gladys Trazzare
She graduated from Central
High School in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Queens College for
She was employed as a
secretary and bookkeeper for several businesses throughout her life.
Lucy was an active member
of the Unity Church in Indianapolis, Indiana where she taught adult Sunday
school for a number of years before moving to Danville. She was an avid
bridge player and a dedicated leader and trainer for the Girl Scouts of
America for many years. She enjoyed knitting, needlework and crafting.
She is survived by one son,
Charles F. Hill, Jr. and his husband, Christopher Olsen, of Mill Valley, CA
and one daughter, Carolyn L.G. Langdon, and her husband, David, of
Swarthmore, PA. Also surviving are two grandsons; John C. Langdon and
Robert C. Langdon; both of Brooklyn, NY. She is survived by two sisters;
Isabel H. Patrick of Gainesville, FL and Annie Lowrie Hill of Los Angeles,
CA. She was preceded in death by one brother, John B. Halliburton, Jr.
