Lloyd H. Harvey

December 26, 2014

Lloyd H. Harvey, 74, of Danville, PA died peacefully on December 24, 2014 at Columbia Montour Hospice at Maria Hall Danville PA.  He was born December 11, 1940 in West Newton, Pennsylvania the son of the late Howard P. and Beatrice Tannehill Harvey. 

He graduated in 1961 from West Newton High School. 

He was married for 55 years  to Linda Markle Harvey whom he married October 24, 1959. 

Mr. Harvey retired as a professional truck driver from the Metropolitan Trucking Company of Bloomsburg, PA. He owned and operated Harvey's Small Engine Repair from 1980-1991. 

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville, PA. 

Mr. Harvey was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He also enjoyed golfing. He especially enjoyed bowling with his son and grandson and traveling to Virginia to visit with his daughter, son and grandchildren whom he adored.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; David S. Harvey of Danville, PA and Edwin H. Harvey and his wife Beth of Suffolk, VA and one daughter; Susan H. Brady and her husband, Thomas of Charlottesville, VA.  Also surviving are six grandchildren; Sarah, Nathan, Ryan, Katie, Mark, and David.  He is also survived by one brother; Charles Harvey of West Newton, PA and one sister Ruth Ann Kmetz of Belle Vernon, PA. 

Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by one brother; Robert Harvey. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a  Memorial Service to be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church 215 East Market Street Danville PA with his Pastor Trevor Hahn officiating.  Burial will follow at The Columbarium at Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville PA. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM in the small chapel at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Columbia-Montour Home Hospice, 410 Glenn Avenue, Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
