Evelyn C. Noll

Evelyn C. Noll, 101, of 115 North Huntington Avenue, Danville, PA passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Columbia-Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville, PA. She was born September 20, 1913 in York, PA, the daughter of the late Samuel and Edith Grove Corwell. 

Evelyn was married for 48 years to Earl F. Noll who preceded her in death on August 28, 1989. They were married April 12, 1941.  

She graduated from North York High School in 1932 and from Geisinger School of Nursing in 1936.  

She was employed at Laurelton State Village as a registered nurse and at Geisinger Medical Center from where she retired in 1977.  

She  was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ, Danville, PA where she enjoyed quilting. Evelyn was also a member of the Alumni Association for Geisinger School of Nursing. 

Her enjoyments included quilting and spending quality time with her friends. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored. 

She  is survived by three sons; Franklin C. Noll, Michael J. Noll and his wife Deborah, Gary W. Noll and his wife Paula; all of Danville, PA. 

Also surviving are five grandchildren; Timothy, Jennifer, Amanda, Gregory and C.J. Evelyn is also survived by six great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one sister, Doris Corwell of York, PA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Evelyn was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 500 Bloom Street, Danville, PA 17821 with the Reverend Mary B. Schmotzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Episcopal Cemetery, Danville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the church. Family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh United Church of Christ or Columbia-Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
