Eileen L. Ackley

August 2, 2014

Eileen L. Ackley, 71, of Orangeville PA was welcomed into Glory and into the arms of her loving Savior on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Columbia Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall Danville. She was born November 23, 1942 in Berwick  the daughter of the late Gus F. Learn and Jean Yohey Learn of Orangeville. 

She was married to the late Henry H. Ackley who preceded her in death January 14, 1992.  They were married February 11, 1984.   

She graduated from Northwest Area High School in Shickshinny PA. 

Eileen thoroughly enjoyed being employed as a nursing aide at Bonham Nursing Center in Stillwater for several years.  She was also a self-employed housekeeper for many years. 

She was a member of Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Orangeville. 

Eileen's greatest enjoyment in her life was being a Mother  and Grandmother and spending quality time with her grandchildren whom she adored.  She will be especially missed by her dog and faithful companion, Ivy. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Aimee Ackley Newswanger and her husband Jared of Lancaster.  Also surviving are two grandchildren; Lyra and Titus Newswanger.  She is also survived by two brothers; Neil Learn of Benton and Nelson Learn of Berwick and two sisters; Marie Stancavage of Benton and Lora Learn of Orangeville.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Eileen's life to be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sovereign Grace Fellowship 1810 B State Route 487 Orangeville PA with the Reverend Michael Shingler officiating. 

Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the church.  The family will provide flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made to Columbia Montour Home Hospice 410 Glenn Avenue Suite 200 Bloomsburg PA  17815.
