Helen E. Edmeads, 82

Helen E. Edmeads, 82, of 210 Jerseytown Road Danville PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior at Columbia-Montour Home Hospice at Maria Hall Danville PA on Friday, June 7, 2013.  She was born February 18, 1931 in Richfield PA the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Evelyn P. Marks Bailor.

She graduated from Millerstown High School in 1948.  She was employed as a custodian for the Danville School District for 14 years, retiring in 1987. 

Helen was a member of First Baptist Church Danville PA where she served faithfully in the Senior Choir, as a Deaconess and a Sunday school teacher.  She loved to read.  Helen enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers. She loved cats.  Numerous people were the delighted recipients of cards she sent faithfully at birthdays each year.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Paul E. Edmeads, whom she married September 5, 1970.  Also surviving are two brothers; Warren D. Bailor of Millsboro DE and Ray W. Bailor of Mt. Pleasant Mills PA and three sisters; Dorothy J. Trout and her husband Larry S. of West Farmington OH, Deanna W. Kauffman and her husband Reverend Paul of Marysville PA and Rita R. Walter and her husband Francis of Copperas Cove TX.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert J. Bailor, Jr. in 1980.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA followed by services with the Reverend Dr. Harry H. Wonderland officiating assisted by the Reverend Dawes Dunham.  Graveside services will be private in the Newport Cemetery in Newport PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Danville SPCA 2801 Bloom Road Danville PA  17821.  www.visneski.com
