Loretta Pearl Huntington

June 24,2013

Loretta Pearl Huntington, 91, of 121 Lower Street Danville PA passed away Saturday morning, June 22, 2013 at her residence.  She was born May 12, 1922 in Bloomsburg PA the daughter of the late Horace and Leona Boyd Share.   

She was married to the late Howard Franklin Huntington who preceded her in death in November 1992.  They were married May 11, 1947. 

She graduated from Danville High School.  She was employed as an aide at Danville State Hospital and as a cook/baker at Danville Junior High School.  Loretta was a den mother for the Boy Scouts of America.  She was a dedicated volunteer and volunteered at The Jubilee Kitchen and American Red Cross as well as other local organizations. 

Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her only granddaughter, Becky, who was her pride and joy.  Her other enjoyments included traveling, reading and gardening. 

She was a member of Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA.  

In her last months of life she thoroughly enjoyed being taken care of by her caregivers and by the hospice staff.  A heartfelt thank you to Deb Smith, Yvonne Burger, Kay Rohland, Destiny Cropf, Ameilia Moser, Maddison Baylor and Stephanie Shumaker.  May God bless you all. 

She is survived by two sons; Richard E. Huntington and his wife Cherie of Petersburg VA and Robert T. Huntington and his wife Julia of Danville PA and one granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Huntington of Danville PA.  She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond C. Huntington in November of 1998 and two brothers; Charles Share and Claude Share.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery Danville PA with her pastor, the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews Grove Presbyterian Church Danville PA officiating assisted by the Reverend Chuck Chamberlain of Bloomsburg Southern Baptist Church Bloomsburg PA. Memorial contributions may be made to The Jubilee Kitchen c/o Linda Pritchard 623 East Market Street Danville PA 17821 or Danville SPCA 2801 Bloom Road Danville PA or American Red Cross 346 Mill Street Danville PA 17821.  Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 10 W Mahoning Street Danville PA.  www.visneski.com
