Paul W. Clark, 91

Paul W. Clark, 91, of 76 Little Roaring Creek Road Danville PA passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville PA.  He was born July 26, 1921 in Rush Township, Northumberland County PA the son of the late John C. and Olive N. Wertz Clark.  For the past two years, he had resided with his daughter, Carolyn in Phoenixville PA. 

He graduated from Danville High School in 1939.  Mr. Clark was employed earlier in his life working on the family farm.  He was a self-employed bus driver for 12 years and also employed as a machinist by TRW in Danville PA for 28 years, from where he retired.  After his retirement, alongside his wife, they had a wood crafting business. 

Mr. Clark was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church Mayberry Township where he served on the Council and as the sexton.  He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Shamokin PA.  He was a member of Winklebleck Dam hunting camp in Centre County PA and the Silver Sneakers program.  His enjoyments included hunting, gardening, crafting and traveling to Maine.  Mr. Clark was an avid baseball and football fan, especially Penn State football. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, the late Margaret E. Renn Clark on December 9, 1999.  They were married November 18, 1944.  Also surviving are three daughters; Carolyn J. Zimmerman and her husband Craig of Phoenixville PA; Linda M. Green and her husband Robert of Standish Maine and Lois M. Buck and her husband Keith of Milton PA.  He is also survived by six grandchildren; Kristin, Jessica, Joel, Julie, Tyler and Gwynne and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul Zimmerman.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, John C. Clark and one sister, Kathryn McCracken.  Relatives and friends are invited to attended funeral services to be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Johnís Lutheran Church 29 High Road (Mayberry Township) Danville PA with the Reverend Christoph Teille officiating assisted by Lay Minister Linda Bird.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johnís Lutheran Church 29 High Road Danville PA  17821 or Moose Charities 155 S.
